ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT WITH INVISALIGN … Is this an easy Procedure?

ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT WITH INVISALIGN … Is this an easy Procedure?

Nowadays brackets are not the only option available to correct teeth
misalignments and bite malfunctions.
Invisalign is another orthodontic technique that is used to redirect the position of the teeth by using a series of “Aligners”, which are basically a solid piece of plastic custom-made for each patient and design to put pressure on specific parts of the teeth so they can gradually be moved into their ideal position.
Each aligner is worn for about two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series until the final position of your teeth is achieved. Each replacement tray will feel slightly different, as it’s designed to continue shifting and moving your teeth.

WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY BENEFITS OF INVISALIGN?

Invisalign aligners are clear, making them seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others. Invisalign aligners are also removable. You will have the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during your treatment simply by removing the aligners when you eat. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and good oral hygiene. In addition, you’ll spend less time in the doctor’s chair and scheduling appointments.

HOW DO I START A TREATMENT WITH “INVISALIGN”?

During your first appointment, after discussing your dental situation with your Orthodontist, Xrays, Intra and extra oral photography’s will be taken. In addition to this, a 3D scan of your teeth will be made. All these preliminary studies will be sent to Invisalign Laboratory, together with specific instructions on your treatment plan that will design by your Orthodontist. Following these instructions, your aligners will be manufactured at Invisalign Laboratory. Once ready they will be sent back to your
Doctor’s office. After that, your Invisalign treatment will start.
Before starting to use your first set of aligners, your Orthodontist will give you all the indications and instructions about how to use them.

Keep in mind that the Doctor’s job is to design your treatment, but is your job to be committed to it, by using your aligners as per your doctor’s indications. This will be the key to a successful Invisalign treatment.

HOW DO I CHOOSE MY INVISALIGN PROVIDER?

Even though general dentists are allowed to perform Invisalign treatments, is important for you to keep in mind, before choosing your Invisalign provider that: Specialist Orthodontist is the Dentist within the Dentistry field with full qualifications, education background, and training in order to successfully design dental treatments that involve teeth movements and achieve both esthetic and functional results.
